Referee Classes Updated:  12/29/2008 at 5:06 PM Coaches, parents, and/or players (at least 12 years of age) who'd like to become referees... New referee classes will be offered beginning this summer and posted in June with various dates and times around the metro Detroit area.  The new referee class is an eight-hour course, usually offered over two days, that upon successful completion, certifies a person as a grade 9 (new) referee.  The class is taught by instructors from the Michigan Referee Committee.
