SOCS will work to get information to our teams when fields are closed in a number of ways; our web site, emails, and signs posted at fields. At times since we are all volunteers, there is no SOCS office with paid professionals working 24/7 to do these tasks, the only way to determine if the fields are open or playable is to show up. In this case the referee would make the determination given no other notice. Of course, our first choice would be to give advance notice to all our teams and families but unfortunately this is not always feasible.
